Alan A. Steigrod is Managing Director of Newport HealthCare Ventures, a venture capital and consulting firm to the biopharmaceutical industry. From March 1993 until November 1995, Mr. Steigrod served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cortex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. From March 1981 until February 1991, Mr. Steigrod served as Executive Vice President of Marketing/Sales of Glaxo Inc., a pharmaceutical corporation. Mr. Steigrod also serves as director of NeoRx Corporation, Lorus Therapeutics, Inc., and Sepracor Inc. Mr. Steigrod is a director of University Kidney Research Organization.
